Made by Hand: Hand Building LVL 1 – Morning Sessions

Students will explore a variety of ceramic hand-building techniques to create bowls, mugs or decorative pottery. Techniques covered include using basic pottery tools, overview of ceramic studio equipment, making pinch pots, coil pots, and using hump and slump moulds. Special focus on surface decoration using texture. If time permits, a basic lesson in glazing students’ project work will be covered.
